Drowning is the number one cause of accidental death for children ages 1-4.
The Florida Drowning Prevention Foundation (FLDPF) was formed to help support non-profit drowning prevention initiatives, to educate adults and children about water safety, to fund swim lessons, lifeguard training and water safety instructors.
FLDPF is continuing the 4-year drowning prevention initiative begun by the former Kiwanis Club of Greater Collier. FLDPF’s officers are passionate about saving children from drowning.
This website includes water safety information, resources for parents and non-profits, swim lesson information, fundraising information, and preschool water safety information.
